The NMG Electric Sitar features a pickup and volume and tone controls, allowing you to adjust the sound to your liking. It has 7 main strings and 13 sympathetic strings, designed according to the Kharaj Pancham style. The main strings are equipped with gear tuning pegs for easy tuning.
This sitar has exquisite inlay work and floral carving, making it a beautiful work of art as well as a musical instrument. It has one flat wooden toomba and camel bone handmade bridges. The instrument comes with free 5 mizrabs and an extra set of strings, including a full set of bottom strings.
The brass strings on the NMG Electric Sitar produce a rich, warm tone that is perfect for traditional Indian music. The first string is Ma-F (an octave below middle C), the second string is Sa-C (below the F of the first string), the third string is Pa-G (below C of the second string), the fourth string is Sa-C (2 octaves below middle C, below G of the third string), the fifth string is Pa-G (above the F of the first string), the sixth string is Sa-C (Middle C, above the G of the fifth string), and the seventh string is Sa-C (above the C of the sixth string).
