The Pro-R-T-Short-F (Pro-R Series, Tripod base, Short height with Fixed Length Boom) has a patented locking base mechanism that has been re-engineered for lighter weight and fast and reliable setup and takedown. It also has the patented – and revolutionary – UltiBoom Pro-F, a game-changing re-invention of the ordinary mic boom. And like the rest of the Pro-R Series, it has the patented Quarter-Turn Clutch and the thick, heavy-walled tubing that sets them apart from other mic stand in their class.

Locking Tripod Base

The Tripod Stands in the Pro-R Series line of mic stands feature a patented locking mechanism that lets the legs fold upward, instead of downward like other designs. Then they lock in place with a simple twist, protecting them in transit and making them easier to carry.

At the gig, the legs lock in the downward position, for greater confidence and stability when moving the stand around the stage or studio. The base and locking mechanism of the Pro-R Series are made from a durable, lightweight, glass-reinforced polycarbonate.

The tripod base is modular, and can easily be detached from the shaft via a patented, quick-release threading system.

Fixed Length Mic Boom: The UltiBoom Pro-F

The Ulti-Boom Pro-F microphone boom is a revolutionary shift in boom design, finally solving decades of problems with ordinary booms.

The patented four-axis Z-Knob pans, tilts, rotates, retracts, and extends with a single one-touch knob that is padded for comfort. The secure dual disc-brake mechanism locks tight, and won’t sag or droop with a heavy mic.

The fixed length boom is a long and sturdy 31.75″, for reaching out over drum kits, pianos, or anywhere you need to go farther.

The Ulti-Boom Pro features a threaded, .65-pound die-cast zinc counterweight – not the cheesy plastic “handle” you see on other boom arms.

Finally, the mast tube uses oversized, heavy-walled aluminum tubing for durability and weight savings, with an anodized finish that won’t rust or corrode.

Quarter Turn Clutch Mechanism / Enhanced Design

All Pro-R Series stands use the patented quarter-turn clutch mechanism with oversized grip handle for comfort. Adjusting the height of the mic stand is as easy as a simple twist of the wrist – one you try it, you’ll never want to go back.

The Pro-R Series also feature the lighter weight MC-05 shaft design. The 22mm thick steel tubing and reduced weight shaft design make for stands that are easy to haul around, while still offering the durability and style you expect from Ultimate Support.

Additionally, the Universal Mic Adapter Threading has been removed and returned to a standard 5/8″ threaded design.
