Our Story

Nepal Music Gallery was founded in  2008s by   Kamal Subedi ,with group of music enthusiasts who wanted to promote and preserve Nepali music and culture. They noticed that there was a lack of access to quality musical instruments and equipment in Nepal, which inspired them to start a music store that would cater to the needs of local musicians.

Initially, Nepal Music Gallery operated as a small music store in Kathmandu, offering a limited range of musical instruments and equipment. However, with time, the store gained popularity among the local music community and expanded its inventory to include a wide variety of traditional Nepalese instruments, as well as modern instruments from around the world.

The store’s mission was to provide musicians with high-quality instruments and equipment at affordable prices, and to promote Nepali music and culture globally. Over time, Nepal Music Gallery became the go-to destination for musicians in Nepal, offering a vast selection of musical instruments, studio equipment, lighting, and sound technology.

As the store’s reputation grew, it began to attract attention from musicians and music enthusiasts from around the world, who were drawn to Nepal Music Gallery’s unique selection of traditional Nepalese instruments. The store’s owners saw this as an opportunity to expand their reach beyond Nepal and started shipping their instruments and equipment to customers in other countries.

Today, Nepal Music Gallery is a well-established music store that continues to be a vital part of the Nepalese music community. It has a significant presence on social media and a large following on Facebook and YouTube. The store continues to be committed to promoting and preserving Nepali music and culture, while also introducing the world to the beauty of Nepalese music through its traditional instruments.
