D-PRE (Discrete Class-A Mic Preamps)MG Series mixers feature Yamaha’s studio-grade discrete class-A D-PRE preamps, which utilise an inverted Darlington circuit with two cascading transistors to ensure more power with lower impedance. The result is rich, natural-sounding bass and smooth, soaring highs with very little distortion. The wide frequency range allows signals from any audio source to be processed without overly amplifying any specific elements of the sound. |
Made to lastThe robust, impact-resistant, powder-coated metal chassis features unsurpassed durability and a slim design, ensuring optimal convection cooling. Thanks to the internal layout, the power supply is optimally separated from the analogue circuits and thus enables excellent noise suppression, which extends the lifetime of the internal components. |
Custom-made Operational AmplifierThe MG16 mixer is equipped with the MG01 op-amp, featuring redesigned circuitry in which even the internal components and wiring have been optimised. In addition, only high-quality materials such as silicon wafers and copper wire were used to achieve superb resolution. |
Switchable Phantom Power & PAD SwitchTake full advantage of the large frequency range and high sound quality of condenser microphones thanks to phantom power. The input channel with the PAD switch accepts MIC and line levels. The PAD switch attenuates high input signals, avoiding clipping to keep your mix crisp. |

AUX / Effect Sends / Groups
External recording devices or monitoring systems can be connected via AUX / effect sends / groups to integrate additional effects and expand your sound or studio setup. In addition, there are four stereo group buses and corresponding outputs for convenient channel grouping. Switches located next to each channel fader allow for clear group assignment.
