Description
SWARMANDAL surmandal or Indian harp is a plucked box zither, originating from India, similar to the qanun that is today most commonly used as an accompanying instrument for vocal Indian classical music. It is part of the culture of Northern India, used in concerts to accompany vocal music. The name combines Sanskrit words svara (notes) and maṇḍala (circle), representing its ability to produce many notes. The instrument may be the same as the 13th century 21-string instrument called the mattakokilā (intoxicated cuckoo). The instrument was seen as equivalent by Ā’īn-i-akbarī in the Mughal period to the qanun.

School & Church Sound Solutions In Nepal
Nepal Music Gallery’s staff are fully aware of the needs of Schools and Churches. Venues such as these often have equipment which has been installed in stages, and may not necessarily be functioning correctly, due to the plethora of inexperienced contractors who install sub-standard and inappropriate equipment into these buildings as part of a large contract.
Not enough care and attention is used when considering the needs of these venues by the common ‘tender-winning’ companies who perform this work. NMG’s diligent installation and consultation team can get better results and value for money than anybody else in Nepal . With the benefit of decades of experience and being aware of the most up-to-date technologies and solutions availble, Nepalmusicgallery’s services to Schools and Churches are second to none
